Donald M. Swanson, CEO, is an industry veteran and pioneer in UNIX workstations as applied to technical computing. He founded dcVAST in 1989 to provide total platform support to the emerging workstation marketplace. Today, Don puts his energy and background to use in helping customers determine the best way to maximize the use of technology. He is involved with the development of dcVAST strategy, long range planning and marketing. Don has an Industrial Engineering degree from Purdue University.
 


 
Larry Shalzi, President of Operations and Vice President of Sales, joined dcVAST in 1997 to coordinate the operational and financial aspects of the business. He has responsibility for all day-to-day operations, including sales. With over 25 years of experience in business operations and customer service, he brings a unique blend of operational expertise and customer orientation to his position. Larry has an MBA from City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Science degree from Elmhurst College
 



Jim Carter
, Manager of Solution Architecting, joined dcVAST in 1996. Unique within the industry, his team oversees not just technology, but technology in practice. Their primary responsibility is to assist customers in determining the best ways to achieve business goals through the application of computing resources. Jim has over 25 years experience in the IT industry and an Engineering degree from Purdue University.
 




Sam Petras
, Controller, joined dcVAST in 2006 to increase efficiency in the completion of operational and financial tasks for the company. With over 9 years of experience in auditing, banking and technology, he brings a diverse background which has proven to be very beneficial for the growth of the department as well as increasing overall customer satisfaction. Sam received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, focused in Accounting and Management Information Systems.
 


 
David Cintron, Service Manager, manages the Customer Call Centers, the Professional Services Department, and the Network Operations Center. David has over 15 years experience serving customers and has a keen understanding of the implementation and operation of a survivable IT infrastructure.
