Problem to be Solved
BRP was faced with the issue of supporting its engineering department’s IT infrastructure with engineering department personnel. They struggled to maintain adequate staff to not only support the infrastructure on a day-to-day basis, but to also advance their use of IT tools to further the development of the outboard engine product lines and the Can-Am Spyder.
The dcVAST Solution
BRP had experience with dcVAST who was providing the maintenance and support for the technologies employed in the engineering process. After consultation on the problem, a needs analysis was done on the tasks to be performed and the available budget. dcVAST designed a managed service, including monitoring of the environment, remote and on-site administration.
Results
IT problems are now identified early and resolved before they become outages. Trends are analyzed and infrastructure can be upgraded ahead of any issues. BRP personnel can now spend more time focusing on their business priorities in engineering, and they have reduced their IT budgets for support, administration and management.
